Quinta Santa Eufemia 30-year-old White Port 500ml

Winemaking Process: This White port had a winemaking process identical to that used in the wines of red Porto wines. Thus, it was vinified in granite mills with traditional foot treading, which allowed to obtain the structure necessary for their aging in the long years that followed. The grapes were harvested with a graduation average of 13 to 14 baumme.

The fermentation was stopped with the addition of brandy, so as to obtain a wine with a degree of 19 º alcohol and about 3 baumme.

These wines have suffered a first winter in stainless steel so as to allow its natural decantation. The following spring are transferred to vats and wooden barrels, where they remained for about 10 years. After this period are transferred to old wooden casks with about 550 liters which continues its aging until the time of bottling. During this aging are periodically aired in early spring.

Tasting Notes: Golden color with a shade slightly darker than the White port 20 Years, is now possible to distinguish greenish hues typical of very old wines.

In terms of evidence, is an extraordinary wine, given the complexity it presents. Distinguished different scents and flavors, including dried fruit, in which stands almond, coffee and many others. All these flavors come and go in a perfectly balanced entrosada.

What distinguishes the Tawny the same age, in addition to the type of scents that are more elegant and delicate, is more than all the way all their flavors will naturally appearing first in an almost ingratiating but becomes persistent remaining until the end and extending in the mouth.

Recommendations: Although track well with various types of cakes like apple cake, chocolate, as well as other types of desserts, its richness and complexity of aromas and flavors is more than enough to be enjoyed and savored by itself.
