Discover the Pinnacle of Portuguese Port Wines

Portugal is renowned for producing some of the world's best Portuguese wines, including the classic Port wines. These superb wines come from the Douro Valley, a gorgeous region in northern Portugal where grapes cling to steep terraced hillsides that overlook the meandering Douro River.

Our offers are centered on world-renowned Portuguese port wines, which are known for their distinct character and unsurpassed excellence. Our wines, made from indigenous grape types such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca, capture the essence of the Douro region's unique terroir. Warm days and cool nights, combined with rocky soil, add richness and depth to our fruits, amplifying our Port wines to a league of their own.

Transform Ordinary Moments into Extraordinary Memories with Our Portuguese Port Wines

Portuguese port wines are a notable variety in Portuguese winemaking. This fortified wine is renowned for its long history, distinctive production methods, and variety of styles. Here are some of our top Portuguese Port wines demonstrating the country's winemaking prowess:

Quinta Santa Eufemia 20-Year Tawny Port 75cl

Grapes with 13º or 14º alcohol were used in the vinification process, which took place in granite and stainless steel tanks. The addition of brandy halted fermentation, yielding 19.3% alcohol. This combination of outstanding 20+ year tawny features complex scents of honey, nuts, and mature plum. Aged in barrels for almost 50 years, the gradual maturation increases aromas, sugar, and alcohol, resulting in an incredibly complex, slow-aged wine with a rich tapestry of flavors. This is also known to be one of the best portuguese port wine brands.

Tasting Notes: This chestnut-toned wine has dry fig, nut, and apricot aromas. It goes well with cold sweets like chocolate cake, milk creams, and frozen tarts due to its exceptional concentration and complexity. Its thick texture contrasts nicely with the sweets' refreshing smoothness.

Recommendations: Quinta Santa's 20-Year-Old Tawny complements desserts like chocolate ice cream or orange cake, but some prefer savoring its nectar solo to appreciate its unique characteristics.

Quinta Santa Eufemia 40-Year Tawny Port 75cl

The 40-year-old Aged Tawny Port is made from grapes grown at Quinta Santa Eufêmia and is quite unusual. With restricted quantities, it matures throughout decades of evaporation and wood age, eventually concentrating into an essence. This produces strong, complex scents and flavors of nuts and spices. The palate is creamy and mellow, with notes of roasted coffee and deep nuttiness. The traditional blend of foot-trodden grapes ferments in the Quinta's stone vats, or lagares. This remarkable wine is a blend of old Ports from various vintages that have been aged in wood casks for an average of 40 years.

Tasting Notes: Rich dark brown color with green and yellow hints, typical of aged Ports. This hue reflects the distinct influence of long wood aging.

Recommendations: Wonderful as a digestive, this Port is praised as an ideal companion to desserts such as nuts and chocolate or just enjoyed with good friends.

Quinta Santa Eufemia 30-year-old White Port 500ml

This White Port is made in the same way as red Porto wines, with vinification taking place in granite mills with foot treading to provide the essential structure for long-term maturation. Harvested grapes averaging 13 to 14 Baumé are fermented and halted by brandy, yielding a 19º alcohol and around 3 Baumé wine. After a winter in stainless steel for natural decantation, it spends about ten years aging in vats and hardwood barrels before being transferred to old 550-liter casks for additional aging until bottling. Periodic aeration in early spring helps the maturation process.

Tasting Notes: This Golden Tawny Port, somewhat darker than the White Port 20 Years, has the greenish colors typical of aged wines. It has amazing complexity, with distinct fragrances and flavors, including strong almond and coffee undertones.

Recommendations: Pairing well with apple cake, chocolate, and various desserts, this Tawny Port's richness and complexity make it a delightful standalone indulgence.

Quinta Santa Eufemia 10-Year Tawny Port 75cl

This portuguese port wine is vinified using conventional treading techniques in granite tanks as well as stainless steel tanks. Grapes harvested with 13º or 14º alcohol have their fermentation stopped by grape spirit, yielding 19.3% alcohol and Baumé 3º. After a winter of natural decantation in stainless steel, it matures for 2-3 years in enormous hardwood barrels, where it undergoes oxidation to promote complex fragrance development. The wine is then transported to 550-liter barrels (pipas) for additional age and micron-oxidation, resulting in a variety of scents influenced by the unique pipe and wine characteristics.

Tasting notes: With a deep golden hue, this wine has dry fruit aromas that are complemented by flowery and ripe fruit notes, as well as a delicate, balanced profile with refreshing acidity and mild sweetness.

Recommendations: Enjoy this 10-Year Porto after a meal at 18-19ºC with dry fruit tarts or caramel. When slightly cold, it works well with rich beginnings like foie gras or chocolate ice cream.
