Licor Beirao 1L

ORANGE ROLL WITH BEIRAO

INGREDIENTS

4 tablespoons of flour

1 tablespoons of baking powder

750 g of sugar

15 eggs

3 oranges (zest and juice)

0.5 dl of Licor Beirão

Margarine for greasing the tin

Sugar for dusting

METHOD

1. In a bowl, mix the sifted flour with the baking powder and sugar. Add the eggs, zest and juice of the oranges and the Licor Beirão. You may not have realized because the name of this recipe gives nothing away, but this cake has orange in it.
2. Mix well. Grease a 40 by 30 cm tray (go and get your ruler) with margarine and line it with greaseproof paper. Grease again and sprinkle with sugar. Pour in the batter and bake at 190ºC for about 35 minutes.
3. Remove when cooked and turn out onto a sheet of greaseproof paper sprinkled with sugar.
4. Now roll the cake and chill well. Remove the paper and transfer the cake to a platter. Serve cut into slices, garnished with orange freshly cut.
