Alvarinho Deu la Deu White Wine 75cl

Tasting notes: The wine has a citrus colour. It has a fruity character with a predominance of prune fruits (peach and apricot) with hints of some tropical fruit (pineapple, passion fruit) and some floral notes (orange blossoms). Its flavour, confirmed by the retronasal system, is dominated by a fruity aroma with emphasis to its well-balanced, steady and dry flavour.

Winemaking process: A selection of the grapes. The must (pulp) is extracted from the 1st and 2nd pressings and is then decanted for 24 hours at 14ºC. Controlled fermentation is done between 18ºC - 20ºC. Racking/soutirage is done primary through filtration then stored and cold stabilised by contact method. Soil filtration. Then the final filtration through membranes, and lastly bottling. This wine has a good bottle behaviour, evolving as it matures. During this process, new aromas are gained, such as, dry and honeyed fruits. It can remain bottled for 5 to 6 years. Contains sulphites.

Recommendations: It should be served at a 12ºc, preferably cooled in a ""frappe"" at the table, where each bottle should be uncorked 20-30 minutes prior to serving. Its an excellent aperitif and partners well with seafood, fish and white meat dishes.
